It does make sense that Jo and Jim would offer too little. They probably don’t even know what the work is worth.

She’s an interesting character, but her personality is a decided turn off for liking the character. Far from it, I’m developing a real hatred for her. I hate people like that.
Now what will be interesting will be when she finds out what sort of ‘clothing’ they want her to make. Hasn’t she questioned why a camera store wants to hire a seamstress? Nothing in the ad indicated the type of costuming or clothes the person they hired would be expected to make. They will want her to be making skimpy / sexy outfits for the porn productions. How will she take this “decadent American practice”?
Or will it be, “Faugh! In Russia, we know how to do good erotic films! Not these sleazy pornographic pastimes! I show you how to really get a rise from your viewers!”. 🙂

No, it was just suppose to be a heavily spoken accent at first.. She’s not making fun of her, she’s just a little dazed at Lana’s direct nature..
