Hello Readers,
On this lovely day here in November , I’d like to introduce you to one of the possible new artists for CnC. Let me know what you all think. I’ve already started writing a fun little chapter for her to draw if all goes well. On the Statue front we’ve already started work on the Josephine model, she’s coming along quite nice. Let me know what kind of statue YOU would be interested in, Provocative, Silly, Adult? Your opinion counts! See you all soon.

This artist has the style and the right skill to easily manage this strips requirements. If she can handle the schedule and the quality then I would say give this artist a shot at this

I like it! The style’s been captured and I like the fact that Svetlana’s about an average Human height (since most bears standing on hind legs in RL are between 6 & 7 ft. tall this works!).

I like this artist’s style. I my humble opinion, she would definately be a worthy follow-up.

When you’re talking to the artists, you should discuss scheduling. While people don’t have a right to ‘demand’ anything, updating on a known regular schedle is something that makes a difference to how a comic is percieved. If every Saturday is unrealistic (as it has been in the past), I urge you to consider a different schedule (Monthly perhaps?).
The perv in me longs for an adult statue. But cost is a factor, have you any idea yet what finish of product will be available at what cost?
Well this artist was working with a strip prior that updated twice weekly so they’ll be fine with a single strip weekly, and quite honestly it’s all I can afford as CnC has no income, donation or otherwise, this’ll all be out of my pocket. As for the statue’s I’ll have more information about cost and availability in February of next year. Yes I know that’s far off, but with stuff like this early prep is key.
Yeah, running a comic like this must add up cost wise – I don’t think anyone could expect more than one strip a week. Oh, it’s good news the artist is experienced at holding a schedule.
The 2 negative points I’ve heard of CnC has been firstly about the unreliable updates.. people hate going to a regular web site only to be dissappointed when expecting something. So (IMO) this is very good news for the future of the comic.
The other point was the winding back of the content. In the beginning, Sari was quite the eye-candy.. with her seemingly multi-purpose top seldom doing anything to protect her modesty. Have you any comment to make on the calls for a return to the more explicit tone? Is the story writing heading in that direction, or are you happy with the way things have been?
The statue thing sounds like an exciting project, it really does. I hope you can pull it all together at the right cost. Good luck!
Whelp, First point can only be addressed by the proper artist, and I feel that this would be that person. Though it’s going to take a lot of fan support eventually as I’ll not have the side arcs to be able to fund the illustration of the strip. And At this point with the first point, I have to earn the readership back. It’ll be a monetary strain on me at first but with everyone’s support it may just be worth it.
The second point was both a scripting and artistic predicament. Sarina was the sexual object for the first 4 chapters of CnC, some of it was done a but TOO overboard. But when it came to chapters 6 thru 9 as much as Hardimans skunkgirls where the same age as Sarina in their own sexual moment, since the world was split he felt it would be inappropriate, the reality being, Jim really didn’t want to draw anything sexual anymore, and he’d moved on to more serious comic projects like Caterwaul, and I hope it does extremely well for him . As for erotic storyline in the future, I foresee a return of it, but maybe not to the initial degree, and maybe some even EXCEEDING the initial degree, but within the proper setting and dialog.
