Hey Readers,
Sorry posting this one while at work. Looks like Jim is now completely shut down and lost. I mean yeah Mr. Rogers jokes, but I mean who didn’t respect Mr. Rogers? Lord know I respected Fred Rogers quite a bit. Anyway, this may be a very hard pill for Jim to swallow.
Also this weeks question should have been last weeks question, But Katney asked what was the most complicated costume she’s done for cnc and with Josie’s pension for Cosplay, a heavily patterned and Jewled dress that is Elsa from Frozen is currently her most complicated when it comes to small details.. I do hope you all enjoy!
Till next week,
~Cheetah out!
Oh boy, this may be a two bucket of popcorn story. Multiple fronts on this fight.
Pulls out the whole popcorn cart for you.
Well I’m glad she at least sees things as they are. I can’t help but think Fred ignorant of just how close his daughter is with Jim. But I’m glad Jim has a defender.
I would argue that few, if any of the people who get married understand the dedication needed to be a spouse or a parent. The successful couples learn and adjust over time. The others… there’s a reason why so many marriages end up in divorce.
I kind of expected that Mrs. Rodgers would be defending Jim’s desire to marry her daughter. Still, I didn’t quite expect her to directly take aim at Fred’s claim that Jim had “…never taken anything as serious as you should…” It will be interesting to hear how this discussion goes.
I’m also wondering if Jim will ask somebody else, probably Josie or Sarina, whether he doesn’t take life seriously enough.
Glad Jo’s mom is in Jim’s corner on this, though she needs to make certain he knows it!
Avidly watching to see where this leads.
Alexa, play “Rude” by Magic!
That is great that Jo’s mom is defending Jim. She should call and let Jim know she is overruling her husband and he has permission to marry Jo.
Actually she isn’t “overruling” her husband. Technically the only person Jim needs for permission to marry Jo is Jo. Jim looks up to Fred and personally wants, maybe needs, his approval of the marriage. As Fred’s wife, she might be able to convince Fred that he is wrong, or convince him that his turbolaser critique of Jim’s character isn’t as correct as Fred believes. Still, I doubt she’s foolish enough to believe she can MAKE Fred change his mind. Only Fred can do that.
Question, will we ever see Jim’s Mother in a flash back?
3 years.. yeah I know, but we have.. https://catsncameras.com/cnc/comic/288-a-loss-from-the-past , https://catsncameras.com/cnc/comic/295-high-spirits-abound , and of course a few times in the later Halloween Costume Ask the Casts. https://catsncameras.com/cnc/comic/563-missing-something and https://catsncameras.com/cnc/comic/666-back-yard-spooky-spectacular
Not a moan, but Gordon Bennett way to anwser a question.
Sorry :/
Wow, totally did not see that coming. For someone that’s known Jim for such a good chunk of his life and what he’s suffered through it’s like he’s a complete stranger without a clue about how serious and dedicated Jim is. He’s totally earned the denouncing he’s going to receive.
