703 – Another quiet ride
Jun28
Hey Readers,
If Josie wasn’t questioning Jim’s inner monologue before, she most certainly is now.
This weeks ask the cast by Katney — Who’s the first of the cast to line up for karaoke night? I mean it’s sort of Billie’s happy place.
Till next week,
~Cheetah out
I really like this comic, but Jim’s perpetual moping and lack of problem solving is starting to get on my nerves. I hope this bit ends soon.
What was the mope? Trying to act professional? Not be like , oh well can’t wait to see Sky buck naked , maybe she’ll let me spit roast her with Cam!
No, he’s still stressing over Josephines dad saying no to them getting married. Asking for permission to marry someone’s daughter is a courtesy, not a requirement. He loves her, she loves him, what’s the problem? Her parents will get over it.
It’s not just the “no” he didn’t have a father growing up. Fred was the only positive male influence in his life and just told him he has no confidence in him at all. What little confidence he may have had sort of shattered.
Wonder who the cutie on josie side of the car window
I think josie needs to have a word with her father PRONTO this is clearly eating at jim since he’s now acting out by questioning his decisions and making josie feeling withdrawn from jim over this
It’s Jo’s reflection. Unless you’re being silly.
And here i thought it might have been skye lol
Jim doesn’t quite seem to be himself lately. This seems like the kind of thing he should be goosed up for, but now it’s suddenly “just a job.” I wonder if Fred’s words from before are creeping into his head again. Almost like ‘The Great Gazoo’ just hovering over his shoulder, reminding him of how immature he acts.
Loving the storyline. Some good drama and character interactions going on with this strip. Especially love the perspective in the last panel. It’s a great compostion over all — the second and third panels splitting the two people, along with the word balloons giving the feel like they’re being pushed out of each other’s panels. The fourth panel showing they’re physically near, but still the words are acting as a barrier. And then the fifth panel, with Josie being so distant and small, probably mirroring how she’s feeling on the inside. Great stuff. Keep up the good work.
