523 – what’s the point

Hello Readers,
First off, if you’re having thoughts of suicide, or hurting yourself, please contact the proper help or person in your area. I can’t stress this enough.
Jim seems way past wits end. You know they put the barricades there for a reason. Not that mental barricades care much for physical ones. This mental stab went deep.
This weeks question by Katney asks whomever. What’s your favorite guilty pleasure food. You may ask what’s so guilty about goulash. Well many bowls later Lana may be docile enough for you to argue with.
Till next time,

And then it hits jim, “Not the best husband” if that doesnt make him ask who’s the OTHER?
I just checked #521 and Fred said, “I don’t think you’re the right husband for my daughter.” I believe Dr. Rodgers is comparing Jim to a hypothetical ideal, who is presumably more like him.
Yeah tried to fix that blunder of best with right, but the site crashed as i adding to the post, did jim walk off the cliff after he climbed the barrier due to being in deep thinking anf forgot to stop walking…
Please clarify one thing about the last panel. are the lines in the background an indication that Jim has come to a realization, or that the barricade has given way and he’s falling?
Panel 2 he went over the barricade , panel 4 he’s in front of it.
Oh noes he walked off the cliff, i imagined jim pulling a tom and jerry after tom and jerry run of the film of the cartoon and run back onto the film
Jim, you idiot!! That rail is there to prevent the exact type of accident you are in the middle of having!!
One of two things is possible here. One, he’s realizing that her father has another male in mind. Or two, part of the cliff face has crumbled and he’s falling. Either way, the response is perfect.
Or three, a gust of wind on that high, exposed position just gave him an unexpected shove!
The question is, how fast is his reaction time and survival instincts – or how good is he at cliff diving? Hopefully excellent in either aspect, because I really don’t want to see him hurt.
If indeed he is falling, this sets up an amount of dramatic tension between several people. Every comedy needs a bit of seriousness to make the comedy all that more necessary. After reading it, I did a quick outline of possibilities. All of them could be fun.
