Hi Readers,
Sorry for the absence, James has been at work with some actual art clients, but we should have regular updates for the foreseeable future. We’re now on Twitter look up at the top left of the comic page, I’ll be releasing info, tidbits, and other stuff via our feed, so keep a look out, and give us a follow!
And now to the strip at hand. This is out first time seeing Allen and Curt in current times, and it seems it’s been a while for Josie too. And I’d like to introduce you all to Jo’s dad Fred… Yes Fred Rodgers, and if you’re smart enough to catch that, you’ll get the bulk of the references for the next few weeks… God knows Fred’s gotten it from Jim enough.. so yeah… And Jim… LOL
See you all next week, and possibly on Twitter.
~Cheetah out
Lol, Mr. Rogers.
@Anthony, He’s even wearing a sweater vest
Damn.. Jim is tall. And its cool to see Jo’s famaly =3
LOL! Mr. Rodgers seems really happy to see Jim, a true dad. 😀
Great family picture. Wonder who Jo got her hair from, though? Everyone else is blonde.
Well, at least Mr. Rodgers is wearing a sweater vest, and not a cardigan that buttons up the front. He definitely doesn’t care for Jim though, does he?
@Porter, Acctually Joyce’s hair is almost identical to Jo’s just with a different pattern, it’s just how Jim ended up inking the comic. I think he’s use to filling in Jo’s hair reguardless (sort of like a 2nd nature) NONE of the family is acctualyl blond LOL mostly dark browns, blacks, and some white highlights
No way… Mr. rodgers!!! XD Is he gonna say the famous line to everyone? XD
@fuzzyfennec, Technically it’s Dr. Rodgers, but yeah.. It’s Jim.. so .. yeah
Nice sweater. Hehehe.
What makes me wonder is if Jo’s dad hates the nickname, or just isn’t too fond of jim
It´s really nice to see Jo´s whole family together… finaly! I really waited a long time for this lol And even CnC has twitter now… I really wanted to avoid it but now I just had to create a twitter account xD (but please spare us with facebook, okay? :-P)
Also I don´t really get the whole “Mr. Rodgers”-thing… (lol maybe that´s because it´s a USA-only joke lol) Please help me here lol
@GermanBadCat, It very much is a usa thing, it was a VERY VERY long running children’s show, with nearly 900 episodes.
@GermanBadCat, *lisp voice* it’s okay to feel sad some times…
Fred Rodgers was the host of a US kids show called “Mister Rodger’s Neighborhood”, targeted mostly at preschool and early elementary school aged kids.
Quick question how do Dr. Rodgers keep his glasses on they have no earpiece and I can not believe pince nez would work on an anthro
@UniPrae, Maybe they have a small fur clip to hold them in place?
They’re actually stapled to his face. Hahahaa!
LOL they used to make spectacles that just sat on Clamped onto your Nose.
