*Edit* 11-11-2010 Replaced image with one with a lot less purple 🙂
Hey there readers, still doing some experimenting with Styles and Coloration, as we get this down it’ll get back to on time, maybe even back to weekly soon 🙂 Thanks again to those who helped out with donations, all of them go to Jim to help with supply costs. Jim and I also read all your posts in the FORUM. Here we see Manila and Sarina finally out of the house on their way to the mall. Also a hidden Easter egg in there from Mr. Hardiman, free virtual cookie for those who can find it 🙂

I spy with my lil eye, something that resembles a Late-model Ford Escort ZX2, and maybe, just perhaps may have to run that license plate…
Great job on this strip, man! Details are phenomenal, Expressions are captivating, And you just keep drawing cars and i’ll keep trying to call them out, haha.
Good call on Manila’s car, and you should definitely run that plate. But I wonder if even your eagle eyes missed the easter egg. Gotta look carefully, even if it’s in plain sight (it helps if you’ve watched films from the 70’s)…
Are you referring to THX-1138? The George Lucas film by the same name?
Is it the Green Hornets car behind Manila in the first panel? Also THX-1138 was George Lucas’ first film and has been a phrase he has hidden in many of his films.
well it was Lucas’s 1st film Heck Luke even says in Star Wars ep 4 “Prisoner transport from cell block 1138” lol
How did i miss THE CAR???
*facepalms*
Actually, I was wondering the same thing. 😉 But in your defense, it WAS drawn really tiny…
Good job!
Ahh yes, I remember that flick! Heh, it musta been an inspiration for the Chrysler 300 designers!;) And THX 1138 was Lucas’ first film! Another beautiful and funny page, we’re verging on a full color comic here!
Is that a classic VW Beetle under the dialogue in panel 4? And “THX 1138” for her license plate is priceless. 😀 The alt text is a nice touch, too.
Again, I adore the expressions on the girls.
The word ballons cover up most of it, but that vehicle in question is actually an old utility truck.
Problem is with the car, that if Sari’s enthusiasm gets too high, there won’t be too neat a car to drive home, lol
Well I too picked up on the ‘THX 1138’ license plate, and the “Green Hornet” car in the rear view in panel #1, but I have yet to see this “Easter Egg;” unless it’s the side mirror of the vehicle Sari and Mom are passing in panel #4.
Only other eggs are their… well, their “girls.”
Well you’re close to right, it’s not the green hornet though, but a car from a movie called “The Car” not something you’d want following you on your way to the mall :-3
GAH! The Sedan!! I loved that film. I thought it was a BoomBox on the parcel shelf.
The colors make the comic look more realistic, I’m guessing its water based.
But this is my problem and that is the color selection. i know i know, its the style but I feel like if your going to make a comic in some sort of color form go for full color or no color. dark black and white shades and such like on your other pages was great but purple I’m not feeling it 🙂 otherwise i love it, nothing like sari trying to kill everyone on the highway before she even gets behind the wheel XD
lol nice ref man… Sari is scary on the road XD
Much better with the new color scheme! 🙂
While everyone else is spying references, I spy coloration, like Erikon. And I like it!
BTW, Panel 5, Awesome.
*thumbs up*
Definitely my favorite MILF…
love the new color, much easyer on the eyes 🙂
