Had to flip back and forth a bit to understand that this is the next morning or so after the prior strip, and that Jim is calling for Bella to take the front desk while he and Jo pop out for a quickie.
Can’t wait to see who, or what, got that stunned reaction from both Jim and Jo as the owner of that shadow walked in! I get the impression whoever it is, they are really big. Like Kodiak Grizzly Bear big!
Okay Jim’s ears and the shadows ears match up family resemblance I think….I may be wrong but perhaps his mom, big sis or a related cousin.
I dunno; the shadow suggests to me the ears and mane (and size) of a lion, and Jo and Jim aren’t really reacting like the newcomer is someone they’re familiar and comfortable with. Guess we’ll just have to wait a week to find out…

This is just my opinion but from the size of the head and shape of the ears Issue its a bear.
Sorry my phone corrected me.
My prediction is that it’s the demonic bear cub known as Penance, and the light source is close to her and low to the ground (making the shadow look big and tall).
And you would be wrong.

I would say it’s more on the lines of Jim’s (character) species. I don’t want say too much so I’ll see if my prediction is correct or not.

Otherwise, this is great. 😀 love the sudden “– OH SHIT –” moment, especially with them being all seductive to each other and bring it to welcoming their customer.

He’s calling Bella from the back to man the counter thinking he can have some “Alone” time with Jo at work, and since Jim and Jo own the store, nope, no manager.
Oh, okay, I see. Well, like I just commented below, Jo seems to know him/her. I anticipate next week’s update. 😀
i love the first frame seems her mouth is saying basically “not now” but the expression on her face is saying “take me now big boy”
And Jo doesn’t seem to be scared, just Jim. This further implies to me that it’s someone they know, but who’s got great authority.

Now that you mention it… I for one never saw a scene like this walking into … well anywhere.

i do got a question on the hands, why just 4 fingers on each hand for the characters? the tumb included
I think it´s cuz it´s easier to draw. Many cartoon characters also have only four fingers.
I know that in animation series it was used to save costs on both drawing time and ink itself, without offering up too much of character detail and credibility. Look at The Simpsons and Ed, Edd & Eddy for example.
However, in modern day’s CGI-aided drawing, it think it’s mostly for the time gain.
All the anthros I draw have 4 digits per hand and 4 digits per foot. It has a more balanced appearance overall. However, the humans in this comic have 5 digits per hand or foot, since most people in our world have that number as well (unless they are in the circus or have had accidents with power tools).
